Start The Journey Of Becoming The Man
God Created
Becoming The Man is a commitment to lifelong growth. Choosing purpose and daily discipline daily where gratitude and growth coexist.
I'll coach 1 on 1 to build a plan with the habits and systems that help you become stronger physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
You don't have to have it all figured out, you just have to be willing to commit to growing and that takes learning and accountability. This is a journey of progress, not perfection, as you start becoming the man God created you to be.
For the past six years, I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of people transform their lives through fitness. As a personal trainer, I've watched people lose weight, build confidence, overcome obstacles, and accomplish goals they once thought were impossible. I love helping people start becoming the best version of themselves, but...
There was a point in my life when I wasn't on that journey either. Slowly, my life was becoming worse as a husband, coach, father, and man of God. I became weak in every area of my life spiritually, emotionally, physically, and mentally. I was living for pleasure, and I had self-harming patterns and beliefs.
At the time, I was smoking weed daily, eating poorly, my mindset was poor, and I was living in a 24/7 state of anxiety and stress. I was 240 lbs and over 30% body fat. I was raising my family in an apartment and driving a broken car. I would empty out my bank account two to three times a week, and my relationships in my business, marriage, family, and with God weren't the best because I wasn't becoming.
But when my daughter turned six months old, she no longer just needed her mother she needed her dad, and her little eyes were watching me. I realized that I needed to start becoming the man God created me to be. I had to chase daily purpose and discipline while focusing on strengthening myself spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
One decision changed my life completely, a year later, I'm free from a four-year addiction. I feel the absolute best in every area of my life, and I'm showing up as the strongest version of myself for every relationship and title I have. I'm part of an incredible career opportunity helping build a one-of-a-kind private personal training gym. I'm raising my family in a beautiful home and driving them around in a new car. I have extra money in my account and haven't emptied it. I've lost 40 lbs and now sit around 10% body fat.
Most importantly, I'm living my life with faith and purpose through habits and a lifestyle that help me improve every day. I've developed a system and framework that works. Let me share how I did it.
Spiritually
This is the foundation of the journey. I practiced daily gratitude. Every morning, I counted my blessings and lived my life with full faith. I sought spiritual wisdom from the Bible and lived my life according to God's design. I prayed multiple times a day. In the morning, I told God what I was grateful for and asked Him to help me. In the middle of the day and at the end of the night, I talked to Him about whatever challenges I was facing, along with the problems and emotions I was experiencing. In a world full of stimulation and constant noise, seeking silence also became an important habit. It gave me time to listen, process, unwind, and game plan.
Emotionally
A big part of my success in dealing with stress and anxiety came from the spiritual foundation and habits I built. But I also learned that much of my stress and anxiety came from my addiction and from not chasing purpose. Deep down, I knew I wasn't living up to my full potential, and I carried feelings of shame and guilt. I had to start living with purpose and pursuing daily discipline.
Physically
I witnessed firsthand why the connection between mind, body, and spirit is so important. I applied everything I had learned over the past six years as a personal trainer to transform my own life by mastering my training and nutrition. I got to the gym every morning at 4:00 a.m., followed a structured weight training plan, ate whole foods, and walked 15,000 steps every day.
Mindset
Every day, I read my mission statement and daily reminders to keep myself focused on the journey. I watched motivational content when I needed encouragement and intentionally kept myself away from the self-harming and limiting beliefs I had previously lived with.
This is what I did, but I have to be honest, it wouldn't have been possible without accountability from Brother Joel (not by blood, but by brotherhood). Joel is someone I looked up to and was inspired by because of the way he lived out the four pillars I talk about. I was able to connect with him daily through texts, phone calls, and in person. He was there to pick me up, encourage me, and remind me of the man I was becoming. He held me accountable in every area of my life, and every 4–12 weeks we would game plan what I needed to focus on next. He also shared his own journey, including both his struggles and his victories.
As a coach, I needed accountability, and I believe everyone needs it from someone they aspire to become like someone who has walked through a similar journey.
It's a journey of victories and setbacks. Of growth and gratitude. Of hills and valleys. Of continually pursuing growth physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. None of us have it all figured out, and that's the point. We don't chase perfection. We chase progression.
Today, I combine everything I've learned as a coach, husband, father, and man of God to help other men become stronger in every area of their lives. This isn't just fitness coaching. It's self-improvement coaching rooted in purpose, accountability, and becoming the man your family, your career, your business, and your future deserve.
If my story resonates with you and you feel like we've walked through similar journeys, I'd be honored to hold you accountable as you become the man God created me to be. Together, we'll build a customized system and plan designed around your goals and the life you're striving to create.
